The Art of Music and Spoken Word in B-Flat

The Art of Music and Spoken Word in B-Flat is more then just fancy sounding artsy title. It's the brainchild of Darren Solomon. An award winner, TV ad composer and viral going web adventurer.

WorldOfDeepHouse is all about the music, true. But sometimes it's good to expand your musical mind. Discover new gems and dive into things outside the comfort zone of Deep House music.

As I tend to think that we, you and me, have a broad scope of interests and an eye for beauty. This creative link was dropped by Alex Agore on Facebook. Some B-Flat Bliss to start the morning...eh B..What? I can already hear you wondering. Let me start with sharing the link mentioned above to let you dive in:

                                               B-Flat Musical Interactive Video Page

I love this! Without a doubt. It has all the elements. Creativity, music, your own input is required and you are able to create your own in the process.

To let you know more about who is behind the B-Flat project I have dug on the web for some more info and background. Darren Solomon is the man to talk to. As it turns out he has been into the music, audio, visual and spoken art for quite a few years now.

Before we go into the man behind the scenes I should mention Big Foote. A music and sound production house that delivers audio for film & TV, radio, ads and commercials. Here as a staff composer he can let his brain go wild and translate those impulses into audio art form.

You can also follow him on Twitter or on this blog. Where you can find more about him, other interesting projects and music filled articles.

If you are like me, and have a general interest in music and art then the SonicScoop home site might have some if not all of the things you look for in a site.

To know more about his background and where he come's from I refer you to this article/interview on a SonicScoop post from 2010.  Where you will get to know him more.

Here is another fine example of musical creativity and entertainment you might stumble upon.

'Marker/music is an interactive sound and music map created by  Darren Solomon, the students and faculty of Northern State University, and members of the community of Aberdeen, South Dakota. From October 18th - 22nd, 2010, the group shot over 70 videos in the area, from which 12 were chosen to be embedded in a custom Google map. The project was inspired by Darren's inbflat.net, and is intended to explore the concept by producing the entire project locally in a  single community, rather than through internet-based crowd sourcing.'

As you can see there is a lot to discover and enjoy.

And as long as the people around the world are being creative, WorldofDeepHouse will be out there collecting the results. Keeping it deep and fresh.

Cheers!
Tommy
