Christmas is about sharing...

Christmas is about sharing, no doubt. So how can we translate that to WorldOfDeepHouse?

Hi everyone. I hope most of you had an indulging Christmas, with the tendency to roll forwards on your belly right now. As a matter of fact I am pretty sure my muffin tops could do just fine as air bags. Most likely saving my life in an event of collision.

But ok, I am not writing this post to make you boys and girls visualise my expression of good times. I would like to give you something in the spirit of Christmas.

I have been dropping sets for a few years now. Outside of having the great joy to do a few parties and events. I have the honour to play on a regular basis in Second Life and other online venues. This day and age there are so many ways to share what you love.

Websites like Sound or Mix Cloud, internet radio's, events on online chatrooms & virtual worlds, music collaborations stretching across continents online. Plenty of choices and possibilities. The flip side is an over-abundance of choices. As well for an artist as a fan.

Nevertheless, let's go for it. A good example is last w-end's Bebu party. Bebu is a virtual club in Second Life. Where Lanne Wise (avatar's name) has hosted over dozens of Deep Music events, streaming the best that Deep House has to offer. People from across the world log on, go online and enjoy a live DJ set broadcasting over the world wide web.

Now before all of the above sounds like stream bla bla digital bla blah. It is very simple. Dj's play from home, people listen from home and share a good time... from home.

Which brings us down to the topic of today, Christmas!

To me discovering new tracks and music feels like just that, a festive occasion. I tend to be like a little kid in a toy or candy store when it comes down to Deep House Music. So a track list is a must really. How annoying is it to stumble upon a track you absolutely LOVE, coming to the only conclusion you have no freaking way of knowing what it is.

These days you have apps on your phone that will tell you what song is playing. But as it goes, it's far from perfect.

So I recorded the mix last w-end (thank god for a stable recording program) and put it up for grabs. Together with the track list to discover the songs. Most artists wont be new to you veteran Deep Housers but I think you might enjoy the selection.

So feel free to grab it* here *and see you soon with more tunes and mixes to follow. From me but also others. On our calender we have interviews with Marky B, Will SumSuch, Jean Dovy and more. A preview on a track coming out soon, more mixes and tunes. And a review of a Deep House party coming up.

Ho ho ho!!

Cheers,
Tommy
